ZOOM! Whitening for the Brightest Results
We provide ZOOM! Whitening so you can experience an instantly brighter smile after your braces are removed or during your Invisalign® treatment. You can choose ZOOM Teeth Whitening at-home, or in-office treatment with Dr. Jewett!
We choose ZOOM Whitening, because this treatment is gentle, but incredibly effective. Philips ZOOM Teeth Whitening gel can whiten your teeth up to 8 shades in less than 45 minutes. It also uses a unique formula with desensitizing ingredients that minimize tooth sensitivity, so it’s more comfortable than other whitening treatments.
If you’re interested in ZOOM Teeth Whitening near you, please reach out to us or let us know at your next appointment! We’ll explain the treatment to you in full detail to help you achieve the best possible results, through a safe process.
The in-office whitening treatment is performed in three separate 15-minute sessions. (You can opt for a fourth session depending on your level of tooth sensitivity.)
We’ll cover your gums to prevent irritation, then apply a specially-designed hydrogen peroxide bleaching gel to your teeth. We then use the ZOOM light to activate the bleaching gel. This helps the gel to penetrate through the enamel, instead of bleaching only the outer surfaces of the teeth. After 15 minutes, we’ll remove the gel and rinse your teeth, then continue with another session.
Once you’re happy with the shade of your teeth, we’ll apply a post-treatment protective gel to support your enamel and leave you with a healthy, strong smile.
We also offer at-home kits so you can whiten your teeth while you hang out on the couch. If you choose to whiten your teeth at home, Dr. Jewett will explain the process in full detail to ensure that your whitening treatment is safe and your smile is protected.
To whiten your teeth at-home, you’ll use a syringe from the kit and apply a drop of bleaching solution in your trays. (These trays are very similar to Invisalign clear aligners, and they’re customized for your smile!)
Place your trays in your mouth and be sure to wipe away any gel from your gum line. You can use a Q-tip to trace your gum line and remove any overflowing gel.
The at-home kit comes with DayWhite and NiteWhite systems. With the DayWhite treatment, you can leave your whitening trays in for 30 minutes at a time, once a day for two weeks.
With the NiteWhite treatment, you can leave these in overnight, each night for two weeks. The NiteWhite solution is specially-designed with a less concentrated formula, so it’s safe to leave in overnight.
Once your treatment is complete, remove your whitening trays and thoroughly rinse your mouth with lukewarm water. Brush your teeth as you normally would, rinse your trays out, take a look in the mirror, and try not to blind yourself with your sparkling teeth!
If you underwent treatment with braces bonded to the front surface of your smile (traditional braces, clear ceramic braces, or advanced braces with LightForce technology as opposed to INBRACE behind-the-teeth braces) you may notice some minor discoloration left where your brackets used to be.
These white spots or discolored areas can be reversed with a simple ZOOM Whitening treatment, at-home or in-office with Dr. Jewett! If you don’t have discoloration after treatment, you can still whiten your teeth to maximize your results.
If you choose Invisalign clear aligners, you can whiten your teeth during your treatment. Invisalign is completely removable, so you don’t have to worry about any unreachable spots behind brackets. You’ll simply remove your aligners during your whitening treatment, then place them back in your mouth once you’re done.
ZOOM Teeth Whitening gel can be used during Invisalign treatment to maintain a bright smile, or applied after Invisalign treatment to enhance your results.
We encourage you to reach out to us! We’ll walk you through the process and answer all of your questions.
